BIOGRAPHY

Hi everyone! I'm Kevin Da Costa Silva, aka "DaCosta", born and raised in Luxembourg. I grew up within a Portuguese household, where I was taught the importance of having determination, setting goals and overcoming my own fears.

I am a motivated and resourceful 2D artist with the ability to translate various ideas into something unique. A creative person whose passions lies in illustration, animation, filmmaking, motion- & graphic-design.

I took a big leap by leaving Luxembourg to study illustration in Berlin. After graduating my Bachelor in Illustration, I discovered my newest interest and passion in the Netherlands: Film & Animation. During my Master of Animation in Den Bosch, I constantly searched for new inspiring challenges within art & culture. Within my work, I try to adapt new technology and innovative processes while maintaining a traditional technical style and work ethic. 

I am focused on developing an experimental and original style, which provides the audience with a creative and relatable story that plays and interacts with their emotions. I’m determined to push myself within my projects until I achieve a state of my fullest potential and a successful result!
